Sounds right.. which is why many of us don't like to bypass certain of the OEM safeguards.

Which is why My stuff does not. But perhaps you do not understand how it all works, or perhaps you're just a basher. I'd bet on both.

Default That reminds me of my brother's 1959...

Buick Le Sabre convertible. He and is hot rod pal put an Offenhauser polished aluminum intake manifold on it and 3-2bbl Stromberg 97 carbureators. The ignition was handled by a mallory magspark distributor. In those days my brother was a Lt. USAF flying F102's in upper Michigan. He and his fellow young officers all drove modified American Iron. In 1960 he burned a hole in several of the pistons. There were no guages of any sort to predict that failure so far as I know.

By then he was married and had a child on the way, so his next car was a Chevrolet station wagon that was stock...

why I do not modify my TT's and endeavor to always have one that is covered by factory Audi warranty, plus work to maintain a positive relationship with my Audi Service Representative...
