Default Ever used warranty to replace fuel sending units?

I have a comprehensive extended warranty and Audi are telling me I might have to pay $250 of the $1400 to replace the units as the warranty wont pay for it. However it clearly states the sending units are coverd under the warranty. I feel like Audi arent trying on my behalf (my dealership sucks) and I called the warranty company to complain and they assured me that no claim has been filed to date. Audi havent even been talking to my warranty company yet they are asking for a percentage of the costs that the warranty company allegedly will not pay. Any ideas why the would be pulling this trick on me. Anyone had their units replaced with no costs to them under an extended warranty that wasnt Audi Assured. Thanks

Default $1400 for sending units??

Whoa...First off, Audi has no obligation to negotiate on your behalf with the warranty company. All they want to do is get paid for the job. Secondly, If I was that W/R company I might think I was getting hosed. It's just like being in an HMO....Insurance says procedure is worth X...Doctor says it's worth 2X. I'd shop around if I were you...

Default I agree....I guess they arent there to negotiate.

Ive heard $1200 for an A4 to get its sending units changed. Pretty wilde price I know.

Default That $250 would almost cover the whole job.

RUN AWAY from that scamming, thieving stealership. They're trying to rip off both you and the warranty company.

Assuming a quattro, which has 2 senders:
vwparts.com prices:
#8L9919673N Fuel gauge sender, right $76.09
#8L9919673P Suction jet pump w/fuel gauge sender, left $152.00

And MAYBE 2 hours for a sloth to do the whole job.
