Since I bought my TT, I've had issues here and there. This is the final problem.


CEL, Evap Leak
Code P2404


I've researched this a lot, and I've come to the conclusion that it's my purge valve (N80)

Reasons:

• Car has a lot of gas vapor when I try to put fuel in, I have to air it out before putting gas or it won't take any
• Car began overflowing gas (happened once)
• There's no gas leak anywhere under my car

Now, since I'm not 100% sure about this, would you guys recommend I check some other things before replacing the valve? Any DIY guides? I have the Bentley manual and I've heard it takes an hour or two to do, but would you just recommend I pay a mechanic $200 to do it? And finally, is the correct part for my 2002 Audi TT Quattro 225?


There's a smaller issue, by the way, and I'm not sure if it's related. The fuel gauge shows more gas than is actually there. However, I've read that it's because of the signal sender corroding. Could this cause the CEL or is it unrelated?
