I was going to say chevy vette, but it has a mustang symbol on the hood
and it has knockoff wheels so that puts it in the 60's. With that windshield and rollbar? it is definitely not a racer or production car. So my guess is a Ford Mustang concept car which since the original was rolled out in 64.5 that would put this btwn 61-63.

Clearly Mustang... if not from the emblem, definitely those side vents.
Gotta be early 60's. And I'll say 289, but thats' too obvious... must be something more exotic/ambitious?

What do I win? (edit)
What we have here, my friend, is the original Mustang concept car.
I first saw this in the flesh at Laguna Seca in October of 1962.
Powered by a Taunus V4 - actually "borrowed from Saab, midship mounted.
Also spied at that race: "new" Jaguar E-type, "new" Corvette Sting Ray.
If memory serves the race was won by a Zerex Duralite Special (rules stated 2 seats, this car had one seat mounte 1/2"off center . . .) and driven by one Roger Penske. Mr. Gurney wasn't happy!
thanks!
