Default Flat tire on a new TT, how to handle the dealer ?

Hello,

My new 2002 225QC (3200 miles) just had a flat tire (original tire, 225/45/ZR17 Pilot). Could not find any visible sign of nail or cut.

Tomorow morning I will take it to the delaer.

What should I expect from the dealer and how should I handle it ?

Thanks,

Tal

Default I bought separate road hazard insurance for $25 per tire

directly from the manufacturer (Bridgestone in my case). That covers *anything* that happens to the tire for the entire life of the tire.

It's more than worth it IMHO.

It's a very tough case to make ... I tried and failed.

Default It's probably just a bad or loose valve

It has happened twice to me, although not on my OEM tires.

Default Case resolved, it was a nail.

Took the tire to a local tire shop. The guy inspected it could not find any puncture/cut. He inflated it, put in into water and found an hidden hole that probably caused by a nail. He said that they can fix it so I left it with them.

Also, I got a road hazard insurance for the four tires. About 40$ each. Accoring to the guy, the price of my tires are 300$ each (?).
