Glacier Blue in the US?

Glacier Blue in the US?
I really like the Glacier Blue in the TT, but the threads that have come up in my search suggest that it is not available in the U.S.
Is there a reason?
Is there a chance that it will be available in the 2005 model year?
Thanks for your help.

Yes, there is a reason Glacier isn't sold in the United States. A very good one at that...
...<font color="003366"> Audi of America chose not to import it. They brought a Glacier Roadster into the States for the 2003 model year and ran it around some of the domestic auto shows to get feedback on the color. The most equitable way to put this is, "it was not well received."
The is absolutely no chance it'll be offered in 2005 model year. The only color revision for the '05MY is the replacement of Goodwood Green Pearl Effect by Cambridge Green Pearl Effect.
If you really have the hots for Glacier Blue Metallic you <i>could</i> special order it. It'll cost between $2,500 to $2,750 (depending on what happens to 2005 model year pricing) and it'll add an extra 4 to 8 weeks to the order period for the car. But you'll have to find a dealer that has some experience with special orders. Good luck.</font>

TT Midwest, huh?
...<font color="003366"> With my crazy schedule (I'm in Eastern Europe as I write this), it's probably best to just say "I am<b> <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/test/msgs/3966.phtml"><i>considering</i></a> </b>it."</font>
