major PITA
jus did it yesterday, have plenty of scrapes to show for it. the old one was not easy to remove, especially the clamp all the way at the bottom. the new one goes right on though. i took off the strut bar and some other stuff so i could get my hands down there. i didnt put on the one clamp done at the bottom because it was neraaly impossible to get to, hoping it doesnt cause any problems, hasnt so far. also put on the forge dv while i had the lines disconnected, took a minute... good luck with it

My install went methodically, but getting the bottom of the hose off was VERY difficult...

It was like it was glued on. I used the dogleash method, and had to use a pry-bar on the leash, wedged against the rotor, to finally free it up. My hands got scraped up, but not much else.
#1 priority is to MAKE SURE you have all the hose clamps you will need. The clamp kit I got was short 2-3 of the smaller ones (1/2" to 1" range). Fortunately I had some sitting around, and MarTT brought a few over as well. If you use T-Bolt clamps, make sure they are the right size too (I couldn't use a couple that were really close, but no cigar - too small by about 1/4" - they were extras, though, so it didn't matter).
Finally, there is one fitting that goes into the hose that is directional. I grooved the Samco to keep the clocking correct, like the OEM hose. You can grind the notch in with a Dremel.

My Samco Fotki

Just did that install....it was painfull :(
My buddy and I to perform the bat and dog leash maneuver at the same time to get the original intake hose off the turbo. My hands are still healing. Also installed the BAMM, fpr (4 bar), TTDA, and Boost Machine too. Those were cake compared to the hose install. Thanks Steve for at quality pieces...wow. I haven't even started messing w/ the BM yet (allowing the car to adapt to the other goodies 1st)...but I can already feel a huge difference. Turbo spools much faster...at lease I can hear it more

Dave - finally got the unit back >
geez - after waiting 3 weeks at one shop, they did SUCH a lousy job (u get what u pay for/$25) I found another who did it in 24 hours (no special rush, just their normal turn-around, for $100 - expensive...but). Looks decent enough to install - considerably nicer, but could still be improved on. Now STILL waiting on my defi A/F gauge - geez again - after reading the posts on gauges above, I'm a bit scared. I'll send a pic tonight, to give you a look. Will
