Default Got my Giac reflashed >>

I'm hoping that it will solve a boost issue I've been trying to figure out. Haven't been able to test it much yet though. I originally got the chip flashed about a year ago. Giac has an update which I got too...but what does the update mean? Why do it? Is it just different code that does that same thing? Why have an update at all?

Default What kind of screw ups?

If it was really THAT screwed up, the chip wouldn't work causing the car not to start.

Default Software can create unforseen problems, degrade or become obsolete. I suspect that

GIAC tests routinely and found a "Better" data string.

I wouldn't worry about it, unless you engine takes a dump ;-D.

Default Just minor programming glitches usually...

Nothing serious..Back in the early days GIAC used to have about a revision a week on some of the VW applications....

was supposed to make the car smoother in the higher rpms i think....

Default I'm currently in stock mode because I made a dealer visit...

I'll see if it's smoother soon though. And hopefully the boost issue has been resolved, but I kinda doubt it. I'm glad your car's acting better though!
