Default When Ed (TTakes2) and I did ours, we......

Default Daisy chain the connections...>

YOu don't need to run them all to the battery.

Default So if I go from..

the trans to driverside fender it will be ok.

so far it goes...
1.battery to trans
2.TB to battery
3.Valve cover to coil pack
4.valve cover to trans
5.TB to pass fender...

Default Move the .....>

TB to Battery connection to TB to valve cover, then just run Battery to side fender. You'll still have 2 leads on the battery.

Default Don't bother, and tell yourself you did...

it will have the same effect. Grounding does nothing on a properly designed car.

Go ahead, measure siemens before and after, I'll bet you won't see any difference.

Wow, that's a bad pic. We used a smaller gauge wire to the driver's fender.

Default Info >>>

Most stock cars, including the Audi TT, has a stock grounding system that consists of just a couple of cables that connect the chassis and engine to your battery's negative terminal. Grounding wires are the foundation of all car's electrical system (ignition system, coil packs, spark plugs, lights, fans, stereo, air conditioner, cigarette lighter, etc). Resistance, in the form of electrical impedance, is the enemy of all car's electrical equipment. High quality grounding cables minimize resistance and help make sure that all of the electrical equipment in the car is performing as well as it can.
