Default Happy New Year to all. Here's a movie you may have missed that i enjoyed this eve...

K-19: The Widowmaker. It's not going to get any Academy Awards but it may just be the second best submarine movie ever made (behind Das Boot). Character and story driven with great acting and perhaps Harrison FOrd's best performance since Witness.

This one came and went last summer since there were no radioactive spiders (but lots of radiation). Check it out. I was pleasantly surprised.

Not posting too much, been sick lately (nothing tragic, just the usual).

Default Sick? What an excuse. I know what you've been up to with your new Christmas present ;-)

There is some crud going around. Two of my kids have had it in series. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll dodge it. You'll feel crappy for 2 or 3 days and then be over it if it is like the crud my kids got.

Best Wishes for a prosperous New Year!

Saw it and enjoyed it. Harrison Ford was even believable as a Russian.

Default Rented. Ballbuster even had it in widescreen DVD.

Big rant coming about full frame, when I feel up to it!

Default Admittedly it took me a little longer to buy him as a Soviet, but he pulled it off and then some.

I like Denzel but the overacting in Crimson Tide! Oi!

"Ahm a Rrrrrrrrrrussian submarrrrrine commandah."

Default Nat'l Geographic had lots of good info on this on their site last summer,

since they were involved in making the movie. Wait, it's still there:
