i would spend the $$$ on an oil cooler...you would not believe the temps that are seen even with a good cooler.....

I might as well get the Mocal samich plate w/ thermo...
to hook in the oil pressure gauge for now, and I'll have the oil cooler hookups for if/when I buy one... that's if I can plug the two hookups -- will this work?

I have the SP1T-- no 1/8' NPT ports

So maybe I was thinking...
that the "w/thermo" plate has the extra port to use for the sender... that must not be what its used for then, no?

No port, what you see there is the thermostat
As for a cooler, Mocal makes them also. Other brands are available, check Steve Schwing's Fotki for his setup which used one that fits well in place of one of the SMICs.
