Default if you do that>>>>

i would spend the $$$ on an oil cooler...you would not believe the temps that are seen even with a good cooler.....

Mocal has the best stuff IMO<ul><li><a href="http://batinc.net">http://batinc.net</a</li></ul>

That's how many oil coolers are added.

Default I might as well get the Mocal samich plate w/ thermo...

to hook in the oil pressure gauge for now, and I'll have the oil cooler hookups for if/when I buy one... that's if I can plug the two hookups -- will this work?

I thought about that route, but Mocal plate does not have any sender ports

Default I have the SP1T-- no 1/8' NPT ports

I have seen non-thermo plates on eBay that do have 1/8" gauge ports though, that might work for you:<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-OIL-COOLER-KIT-A4-A6-TT-1-8T-RACING-PERFORMANCE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118 Q2el1247QQcategoryZ46095QQihZ022QQitemZ35007618339 3QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V">eBay oil cooler</a></li></ul>

Default So maybe I was thinking...

that the "w/thermo" plate has the extra port to use for the sender... that must not be what its used for then, no?

By the way, is that a decent oil cooler?

Default No port, what you see there is the thermostat

As for a cooler, Mocal makes them also. Other brands are available, check Steve Schwing's Fotki for his setup which used one that fits well in place of one of the SMICs.

Here is a kit at BahnBrenner also:<ul><li><a href="http://www.bahnbrenner.com/vw_audi/categories/295/Oil_Cooler_Kits">Oil cooler kits</a></li></ul>

Default So would the filterport fit in with the oil cooler plate??

or is it too much of a kludge.
