Hi from France
Hi everybody
I'm not a newbee in the world of TT and even if i'm on audiworld for long, until now, i wasn't posting...
So here i am: Iceman (fr for french)
My real name is David, 26, living in France
I'm a flight instructor
I'm a member of the french TTOC called clan TT
I'm the responsible for group buy in my club so that i know pretty well TTschwing (hello ;-) )
My Tt is a 180 coupe non-quattro model that i own for 5 years
Pretty much mods (2 gadgeTTs, LEDs everywhere, carbon everywhere too, Defi gauges, etc...)
I'm looking to buy a forge DV-R but as they aren't produced anymore, that's pretty difficult...
I thought that perhaps you guys would be able to help me on this
thanks in advance
Iceman/ David

Bonjour David, et bienvenu chez nous!
Can't help on the Forge, desolee-
I was born in La Rochelle, and lived in Saumur while my father worked as the US Liaison Officer at the School of Cavalry. My wife and I visited in July 2000.
Where are you and your club?
Bon chance!

Very good french inTTruder :-)
I didn't expect to read french words when coming here, that's great!!!
I'm living in Versailles, just next to Paris and i'm from Antibes between Cannes and Nice on the french riviera
The clan TT is the french club so that there are members a bit everywhere
Doesn't matter for the DVR-R, i'm sure someone will be able to help me a day or an other on here or somewhere else
Regards
David

Hi David!......>
Good to hear from you over here!
On the DVR, Forge seemed to have a lot of issues with that one for some reason. I got one of the first in the country here and did some testing and reporting on it. Worked great on my car and still on the guys I eventually sold it too. Unfortunately many in the general population had diaphram issues. I'm a fan of diaphram valves in general. A few more have come on market in the past few years. The one with the most promise seems to be the one from AWE. A few reviews here on this one have been good. BTW, there have been a few more GadgeTT variants added since the last Group Buy!

We have all learned from his exhaustive research.
Your english is excellent also: merci!
Terri and I plan to visit France again in 2010 for our 10th anniversaire. Perhaps we shall meet, as she LOVES Paris!

Re: Hi David!......>
I've seen the new gadgeTTs on your website
But as most of the TT owners have one gadgeTT, i need to wait for new members to make a new group buy
I personnally have 2 in my car :-D
Thanks for your advice on the DVR, please let me know if you hear about one for sale :-)
regards
David

Antibes... plus charmant
I'd stayed near there on vacation 8 yrs ago (actually in Juan le Pins, but Antibes is plus charmant) and very much like the area.
I had a humorous experience trying to return my rented Renault at the EuropCar agency before catching the train back to Paris, but that is a story for another time.

Hi David. I have an AWE DV1 and it works great...>>
I had a forge 007p for over 6 years and had no real issues except having to rebuild it a couple times (134K on the odometer).
The DV1 is rated for over 700bhp. The response is much faster compaired with the 007p.
Although it looks like it came from a plumbing supply house, I like the look (I have a DV relo kit and it is not visible on my 180Q).
Hope this helps.
