when you replace sm-med vacuum hoses, do you just use worm clamps instead of buying the OEM style crimp clamps?

I hate having to mangle the crimp style clamps when replacing a hose..i like worm-style screw hose clamps because they are easy to install/remove..

but those crimp clamps look like they hold a nicer seal..

i don't know...just a thought..

on the silicone...the worm gear clamps tear up the silicone and can create leaks on smaller hoses...

on silicone work just fine as long as the hoses are sized right... On stuff 3/8 or 1/2" and up a quality Band clamp (no serrations against the hose) is good..
