Default I was going to whine about spraining my ankle this morning... After reading the problem du jour,..

maybe it's not so bad afterall. I just had a real hard time driving to work and to doctor's office and home. Shifting is painful (clutch ankle) :-(. "But doctor, it hurts so much not wanting to shift the gears..."

It will heal in a couple of weeks (months?). I hate soft tissue damage.

(I guess I can still whine a little).

Default checked for torn ligaments I hope!

I didn't (a while ago) and now they are suggesting surgery so as to restore my clutch foot to new

Default Exact diagnosis (torn [insert medical term here] ligament on outside of ankle. Physio for ? Long...

My ankle looks like a golf ball so far - see what happens tomorrow, I expect to not be able to stand let alone the hobbling I have been doing all day.

Doctor did not see tendon damage (that means I did not scream when he pressed around the areas where tendons hang out). He did not "see" any bone damage either (same way). He did "see" ligament damage!

Default UGH

Mine is completely torn from the bone, which makes it really nasty - I walk on it but spontaneously fall on uneven ground, how silly, if not paying attention.

Hopefully your's isn't all the way off cause then you need surgery to get it back on; need to do nasty sounding things under a knife.

Take it easy on that ankle and be sure it's held in the proper position while it heals, etc. It is a slow task.

Good luck!
