it is very cool, but i want useful info like oil temp, oil pressure, etc
not regurgitated VAG info... I suppose it could be nice to have the MAF readings and all that. $450 is pricey though. interested in the control unit. is it all in the vent or is there a remote unit?

mid March launch planned
I hope it will be ready by mid March, I'm witing for my board stuffer to finish the order.
Prices will probably be lower at launch, I'll need to take a gamble on likely quantities for my ROI to be OK.

Re: it is very cool, but i want useful info like oil temp, oil pressure, etc
I extract the data in the same way as VAG-COM and as far as I can see, oil temp and pressure is not available, if you know different let me know the block and I can easily add.

have you tried any other screen? how is the output connected to the brain? is it a simple rca cable
or something else? also if someone asks wat's the main different between your unit and someone who has a computer with a vag cable? beside the obvious fact that your unit is smaller and the computer is big and klunky.

The unit is fully integrated, see pic

I will also be doing a 3.5 inch version but it won't fit in the vent.
This is the complete unit, there is a cable supplied which connects the DB9 connector to the diagnostics port.
