is all that I need? And does it come with the correct removal tools? Is the dock connector cord black, because it will be visible where I have located my phone.

Great suggestion, thanks! It works perfectly. Routed the dock cable
to come out of the top right corner above the cover plate to my V5 mounted phone.
I do have to crank up the head unit volume quite a bit on the highway, though. Have you noticed this?

I have, though I always assumed it was because of the iPhone/iPod Volume Limit . . .
. . . despite the fact that I have it set to "Off." All the same, I appreciate the unit's ease-of-use and reliability to date.
