Default I've been reading all the discussion about negative rear camber when lowered...

my question is this: What is the detriment of the negative camber? Is it only that the tires will wear faster on the inside? Does it significantly affect handling?

You'll certainly tear up tires FAST. I know, as I went trough a set quickly before I had mine adjusted. If you lower it more than a little, the problem is pretty severe, and almost certainly something that you'll need to address.

The best ways to resolve the problem is either a camber kit, or slotting the holes (crude but cheap and effective). Mine is slotted, pretty low, and my negative camber is only about -1.25. Prior to the slotting, it was -3.50.

Default Some negative camber is desirable......>>

Going to a greater negative camber (up to a point), reduces understeer, and plants the tread more parallel to the ground during aggressive cornering. It also increases tire wear, cause most of the time you're going straight and scrubbing the inside edge a bit. Most performance alignments dial in more negative camber than stock because you're aligning for cornering performance. Neg camber between -1 and -1.75 or so is probably a good compromise from a wear/handling perspective. I'm at -1.6 with kmacs and a 1 inch drop. Lowering will induce negative camber because of the suspension geometry. Figure (roughly) -.75 for each inch dropped. The only correction for the TT is Slotting (as Brad mentioned), Kmac adjustable bushings, forge adjustable links (not here yet), or the Griffin mod.

Default Greg, I've been out of town for a while.

I should be able to free up a weekend real soon.

Sorry about the delay...
