Default Jeff & others: hearing a faint, medium "humming" sound from cluster when I turn lights on.

It could have been there since Day 1, three years ago, but it is the first time I have noticed it. I have to have my ear right in front of the cluster to hear it.

Is this normal or could it be indicative of the cluster getting ready to go bad? All electrical functions appears to be normal.

Thanks in advance!

Default Do you think it starts buzzing when getting ready to fail?

I just do not remember hearing this sound before???

it's the panel light dimmer on the headlight switch.

Default My dimmer buzzed like that, and shortly afterwards...

the temp gauge went wacko. They replaced the cluster then of course. I would live with it until something else happens.

There is a TSB for this. The dealer will replace your cluster if you ask.
