Default JimTT....

I have noticed with my APR chip that I really dont feel that much of a difference in the car in 1st and 2nd gear...rather...very early in these 2 gears...Seems like the car doesn't start pulling until around 3,000 rpm...

The chip is most noticeable to me in 4th and 5th gears...Do you feel this way too?

Also, I would like to know specifically how you feel adding an the Borla changed your TT's performance....

THanks in advance, KimTT

Default Kim my TT is almost too powerful in first and will hit red line so fast it's hard to get a clean

shift, I also have a hell for strong second gear, after that it pulls but no where near as hard. I installed the borla before I chipped and it made a real difference though I can't say what the reverse sequence would be like. I'll tell you this, you need an exhaust if you are chipped and when you add one you will feel the difference.

The chip alone didn't do much; with the exaust, second is so much fun ...

Default If it still is not running up to your expectations you can drive mine at TTE and see how it runs, I

...would think that with APR there, what ever the problem might be can be tracked down and fixed on the spot. Are you sure your throttle position is correct, they can check it with a VAG tool. JIM

Default When are you finding in 1st and 2nd gear that the car begins to pull?

Driving Kim's car the car does not begin to pull until 3,000rpm, just like a 225. In stock mode the car begins to pull at just under 2,000, just like my TTQ in both stock and chipped mode.

I find it strange that APR would raise the torque band 1,000 rpm which makes 1st and 2nd gear even more useless!

That's really what Kim is trying to ask.
