Just a heads up on the APR intake hose...
There were a few bugs to work out while putting it in. One of the inlets needed to be plugged...not a huge deal there. One other inlet was much too big for one of the stock hoses. You can see in the pic that the black hose is not going to fit so well to the blue APR hose...

A reducer was needed. "1 Mean TT" went through the same thing with his. So if anyone is planning on buying (or winning! hehe) an intake hose from APR, I just wanted to help you be prepared a bit more. Hope that helps!
This all at least applies for my '01 225 quattro coupe. Not sure about other model years...

hehe Well, I highly recommend winning either!!
I wish I had a way to compare the APR hose to the Samco. I think differences would be minimal. I'd say that both are better than stock. (I was a little surprised at how weak that one felt.) The Samcos have just been around longer and are proven. I don't think there's anything wrong with APR...they just have tough competition.

know from APR that we had to use this reducer and that it was a little big. I also ordered the APR Upper Intercooler Hoses, but have to wait for them to get one side as they only have the itercooler to throttle body hose in so far. Peace, love the hose.
