The semi finished product....it still has to be waxed again and the car is still dirty, but you get the general idea...

Also, thanks to those of you who suggested wet sanding...it worked.

Default Very clean look. Did the brightness noticeably diminsh?>

The old-school Tresser stuff required the use of additional red reflectors and higher wattage bulbs for TUV compliance.

Default If it did, not very much....

The parking and brake lights still are quite visible throught the coatings and I used about 9-10 passes of the smoke tint.

Default nice write-up but i'm partial to the stock look, though ...

i think i'd like the smoked look better if it wasn't so extreme. something in-between the clean stock look and the aggressive smoked look would be sharp, imho.

Default Well, the good thing about the way I did it.....

With the VHT spray is that you can make it as dark as you want. Mine are pretty dark and I used about 10 or so passes with the stuff, but you could very well do 3 or 4 and have the in between look you would like.

Default Mine are still TBD, one semi-complete

This much darkness is sufficient for the silver exterior, won't go darker.

I'm looking for a local shop who can finish these off, or else, I'll contact Wetworks...
