I am thinking of buying a 2001 TT convertible. Everything seemed great about it except for a few things, and didn't know how big of a problem these are to correct.
I couldn't get ahold of my usual mechanic so thought I would try here.
Car ran perfect. Rode great. Top worked great. Looked nice. The 3 things that are the issue is......
1 heater doesn't blow hot hair. It blows out the vents, just not hot or warm.
2 gas guage reads wrong. Guy said when full its way past the F, and empty is just above 1/4 tank
3 the lcd display between the gauges gets dim during the summer months, not as dim during winter.

are any of these big issues? Easy fixes? im mechanically inclinded, but don't know how much I want to work on something.
BTW its the dual exhaust Quattro. Thanks for any help you can give

Common problem in the Mk 1. Don't try to fix the cluster yourself unless you are a trained solder technician. Send it to Module Masters for a rebuild. Not too expensive.
