Default Mental meanderings at a local auto show ... how to "better" the TT (is that possible?)

I was at local auto show recently and saw something that I'd seen before on SpeedVision. Someone had taken the handles off both doors of a chop-top truck and re-machined the door panels so that they're completely flat (showing no signs of a handle or ever having a handle). They then hooked up the truck's keyless entry system to electronically open the door.

In a word: bad-***. I think that would look so cool. Of course I'm sure the cost would reflect that "coolness" but it was just something I thought about.

Any thoughts on this? Or how much a setup like this might run?

I know the nay-sayers are going to harp on how impractical it is (should the battery die, etc.), but if I had more $$ than I knew what to do with ...

Default It would be less visually distracting, but...

considering how many peeps have had window/other electrical problems, I wouldn't want to completly reliant on an electronic entry system...

Default Its called shaving the doors and the electronics are about $200. find a custom mag

like lowrider. Also, you will need the handles filled shouldn't be more than $500. Step one weld a wire mesh in the handle hole. second use body filler. Then smooth to then paint.

Thanks! I'll have to check it out ... that's actually cheaper than I would've expected it to be.

Perfect ... I'll probably wind up getting the remote kit first + body work later.
