Which motor mount is it?
I have a 2000 Audi TT Quattro 5 speed 1.8t with 184k miles.
Today while driving home i'm 95% sure a motor mount broke but i cant tell which one.
Symptoms:
- with the parking brake on and the clutch in reverse, when the engine is reved up while engaging the clutch the rear of the engine (closest to the firewall) lifts high up.
So a visual inspection of the passenger and driver side didnt produce any red herrings, so im wondering if it could be the rear mount (the long bar looking one).
After an hour of searching, i couldn't find anything that gave the symptoms of a bad motor mount for each of the 3 mounts.
Any clues????
Also if anyone knows of a DIY that could be cool too.
Thanks a million in advance.
