Default MP3 CD Changer + adapter

I'm lloking at an aftermarket MP3 changer. I'm looking at the Alpine model.

Any luck finding adapters so I can use my Audi head unit?

Where can I get this?

Default Jeff Bipes made instructions on how to get an aux-in...

Not sure how it applies to the 2002 models as their headunits might be different in the back (I still haven't pulled mine to check.) I haven't done this myself but I'm thinking about it.

Take a look at Jeff's page. He has instructions for CD changer equipped and non-changer setup.

So far, there is no MP3 "changer" that could be controlled from the headunit, but it would play through it.

Jeff's 2001 Audi TT quattro Roadster

Default A few questions, and info. regarding what I have done.

Do you have RCA or line-level outs from the MP3 player?
Where are you planning to install this?

I assume you have the OEM CD Changer?

This pic describes what I have done for some fellow TT'rs and for some A4 friends.
I hard-wire this relay and wiring behind the H/U, to give them a 3-cond stereo mini-plug into the H/U. Thsi set-up works ideally for compact MP3 players, like the iPod or similar device.
See the link for details.

I am building this unit for a guy with an A4 that wants to add in an XM unit to his existing CD changer.
This wiring will be done at the CD changer location, in the trunk of the A4. The RCA's will plug into the back of the XM adapter, and the wiring gets spliced into the wiring going to the H/U from the CD Changer.
The switch wiring will get routed back from the dash, under the carpet, back to the changer area.
Switched +12V and GND can be spliced in from the CD changer cable also.
This way you will need to do some wiring at the CD changer cable, but this is also the best and easiest way to control Auxiliary inputs using the OEM' Concert' H/U.

I am quite sure this will work with the 'Concert II' units in the '02's.
