Default My Dealer Rant.... mostly resolved for now.

Service manager finally takes my call (was disconnected once and held for about 10 minutes, but whatever...). I tell him there were charges for Haldex elements on my service invoice from yesterday and had to pay to get my keys. He said the charges shouldn't have been made (duh) and is creditting my card this morning. (Going to be watching for that)

Went into a long spiel about the remotes and how they went through this long testing sequence, yadda yadda yadda yadda yadda... okay fine i'll change my own damn batteries.

He mentioned (hesitantly) the wheels being "bent"... i wasn't even going to get into an argument with him about that, and just told him NOT to order the wheels they suggested I pay $1,299 for.

All in all, at least i will be refunded for the erroneous Haldex charges. I'll be having someone look at the wheels they say are bent, and see to what extent if they are... i'll play that by ear. perhaps when it's time for new tires I might just jump into the fire with 18" wheels and tires.

And my next dealer report will be on Tischer in Silver Spring.... what's a 3 hour drive for a little common courtesy and consideration.

Default Batteries for remotes are covered. At least our dealer did it. One had bad range still, replaced the

remote itself. Worked like a charm.

Default they tell me there's nothing wrong with the batteries

and that they worked "Within Manufacturer's Specifications" when they tested them. I mean really... replace a freakin battery and make the customer happy, huh? Not how it's done in Dover, apparently.

Default I'd tell him that the dealer must have bent the wheels and make them replace them

obviously - if they are BS'n you they'll let it go at that point.
