Default If you're going to take it on a track - you'll LOVE it!

If it's primarily a street bike, they're pretty uncomfortable (still way cool, though!). A riding buddy of mine has a 916SPS (Marchesisni wheels, Termignoni full exhaust, Ohlins suspension) that is an absolute bullett. Not the best road ride, but incredible fun on the track.

You'll love the 4 valver...

Default I have a 97 748....

It is extensively modified though. Carbo tech Carbon fiber fairings, Brembo GP master cylinders, Dymag Carbon fiber/Magnesium wheels, Ohlins forks with custom triple clamps, Custom Rearsets, Gio.Ca.Moto Carbon fiber Air conveyors, Brembo Full floating Cast Iron rotors, Brembo Billet GP Calipers, Yoyodyne Ti fasteners throughout the front end. Nichols Crankcase breather, Nichols Engine mount bolts, Morgan Racing Ti Cush drives, Ducati Performance 40T rear sprocket, 45-50mm Termignoni Exhaust. Once I get the Cycle cat adjustable bars it will be complete, except for the paint job. The best part is the engine... Nichols 4oz Flywheel, BCM Ducati 853 cc pistons, 916 cylinders, Custom chip, Porting, and big valves by Doug Lofgren. The motor puts out 108.1 HP and 61 lb/ft of torque. I have included a link to the write up on my motor including Dyno chart. Doug's site has tons of neat Dyno charts and tuning ideas. I haven't weighed the bike but I am certain it is below 400#
I love Ducati's but beware of the Modding bug, its worse than with TT's.

Default it's what I always wanted racing my GPZ.......

Never could afford one when I was younger and it should be much more comfortable than the Yoshima 400F with clip-ons and rear sets I just sold....Here is a pic in 83 at Loudon.
<img src="http://www.goodmangraphic.com/images/loudon2.jpg">
The GPZ has a few goodies:

Dymag Wheels both 18" black
Buell Rotors and Grimeca Calipers with 650 MC & SS lines.
Fork Brace
Wiseco HC 600 Kit and Megacycle Cam
Keihin CR 26 Carbs
Custom center mounted Autometer Tach/no speedo
Kerker 4-1
Adjustable Weigle Clip ons

Just watch the Rev's. The 4-valvers wear out quickly once they start revving above 10,000

Default I'm waiting for 872 pistons for my 748R

I love the power curve on my 748R. For the past year I've been talking with Neil at Sigma and Bruce at BCM, waiting for a long time for Neil to do the conversion. Initially, I was going to send my heads to Neil to port, and install the 853 pistons (which Bruce supplied to Neil) myself. After talking further with Bruce, I decided to send my bike to him, have him go through the bottom end, install a 872 kit, port the heads to RS specs and tune a chip. I have 100 hp now at the wheel and we're looking to get 120-125 out of it when it's done! We should be set to start the work in early December.

Email me if you want to BS about Duc's or are looking for 748R info...

Default We actually dialed the Rev limiter down to prolong the life of the engine...

It was past the peak of the HP and torque curves and was the smart thing to do. The Race motors don't hold up for long periods at high revs. I think the life expectancy is 3000 miles between rebuilds on the Corsa motors.
The factory throws away the internals after each race weekend. I have one Ti Rod and Piston out of Troy Corser's 1999 Nurburgring race #2 motor. He won that race The piston/rod sit on my desk on a neat carbon fiber tray with a plaque telling what it is. One weekend and it was junked. The rod itself costs $1500 new.
