Obligatory snow tire poll- Which ones and when?

I agree... the Michelin's have been my favorites too....
they work great on my rear wheel drive with no sliding last winter. I put them through as much as I could trying to test their performance in snow, wet, and cold dry. They griped exceptionally well on all surfaces. The grip in dry handling was similar to my Michelin Pilot All-Seasons. Let me know what you think of the Goodyear's. I have never tried their winter tires, only the summer's.

Here in Frostbite Falls, Blizzaks have been replaced by Hankooks, very aggressive tread, cheap-When?
when the ambient temps are below 45-40.

i should note.>>>>
the Michelin Arctic Aplines were my first set on my A4. I moved them over to the TT.....then moved them over to the wifes A6...got like 5 seasons out of those..
The Pilot alpines i got used, and had those 2 seasons, but needed to sell them when i went to the BBK as 16's would not clear....
The Dunlops i got a season and a half until they were stolen in the spring of this year....
So it is a little misleading against my mileage.......i have actually gotten great wear out of everything i have owned....sorry for the confusion Rich...
