Default OT: New Ford "StreetKa" concept - similarities to TT roadster?

From the AutoExpress web site...

The chief of Ford's Italian styling arm Ghia, Filippo Sapino stated: "We had to be careful not to get too close to the style of the Audi TT when we were designing this roadster."

Default Agreed. Just thought it was an interesting (odd?) statement from the design chief.

Default Kudos to any car company that tries something different, even if it is kinda derivative.

Default It is derivative, and it can't measure up to a TT, but...

Could you imagine if you were in high school, or looking for an affordable stylish car? I'd be all over that.

Even though the Ka isn't offered in the U.S., I imagine it would probably be priced at about $13,000 well equipped. The StreetKa might add about $4,000 to the price. That would be a bargain for such a cool looking convertible. I'd like to see Ford do something similar to the Ford Puma and bring that over.

Of course, this is probably a moot discussion since teenagers these days seem to get S4s and TTs anyway!
- Rog

Default Looks good

Looks pretty good, and the wheels are very cool (anyone know what they are?) it's always good to see car manufactures doing something a little different.
