Default pictures, and such.

Finally got the pics transfered off the new digi-cam tonight, and whipped together a quick page with all of them. So, here's the obligatory "first pictures of my new TT". Oh, by the way, if any of you want/need DNS services, or want a hostname under the 'nrsys.org' domain name, I can oblige to fellow forum members. Mail me if you would like/need it.

Default Resolution too high

Chris, you might want to change the resolution of those pictures. I'm on a 100meg connection and while the first two pix were coming up the rest timed out.

Default Generous offer, but is that site hosted across 56K dial-up? It's really slow.

One systems guy to another, I thought perhaps (hoped) that something was wrong and you'd like to know about it.
Ivan

Default yes.

Yes, that's why I only offered DNS services or hostnames, and not actual web hosting. My bandwidth can't take it (but DNS queries is no biggie).

The big problem is, that:
1) I can't afford a *real* high speed line in the house.

2) I live in the middle of corn fields, and don't have access to DSL, and my cable company is light years behind the most under-developed country on earth. Therefore, cable modems are out as well.

I'm told from the phone co. that DSL will be available within 6 months, so here's to hoping. At any rate, DNS queries obviously don't use much bandwidth at all, which is why I offered it to you guys (as I do some DNS hosting for others as well).

Default I understand. Thanks for clarifying, and good luck getting DSL. It rocks!

Default OK, fixed, kind of.

Alright, I fixed it. They're all sized to about 50kb in size, so it takes about 2-3 minutes to load all of 'em. I am hitting it with a dual T1 seutp here at work, and it seems *ok*. Ugh, I hate living in the boonies.

Default why not use a real website?

By which I mean something
with a fast connection? Server space
is available for free all over.
You can even have it map
to narcis--oops nrsys.org if you
must.
