Default PLEASE convince me to start modding!!!!

I drive a 2001 Roadster with only 36k. Full warranty until april of 2007, it's certified. I am only 18 years old and I am headed to college. Should I respect the warranty or start modding? I want to get chipped and some other goodies but geeze I don't want to lose my warranty that will save my butt if something goes wrong! Thanks, -JD

Default Modding the TT????

I used to drive a 95 ford probe 2.0L SE and I designed and built my own turbo kit for it. I even taught myself how to weld to make the IC piping and the exhaust manifold (log style not too hard). Anyhow, how reliable are these modified TTs?

Default You think the stock TT puts a smile on your face?

Mod it...you'll have no choice but to turn to the dark side.

Default Started modding about 6mos ago...

I waited for 50K miles. Started with intake, GIAC chip, then DV. I can't say it's due to the mods, but since then, I've replaced the N75 and my MAF is on the brink. In my case, the price of replacement parts that typically go bad with moderate modding is a fraction of teh cost of the mods. So, being a student, if you can afford mods, you can probably afford to replace any parts that go bad due to mods.

I wanna learn to weld. I'm gonna ask my wife if I can get a welder tomorrow.
