Default Is it possible to do an oil change using this tool?

Saw this on the tex from the Touareg forums and found it interesting. Is it possible to do this on the TT? If it is then I'll definitely get this. Cost $100.

Default Sure....>

They use those on boat motors all the time...
Problem you still have is the filter...Seems it still rquires dropping the undertray Unless you have small hands and can get it from the top (you'll likely make a mess with the oil dripping).. At that point you might as well just drain the oil from the bottom..

My concern would be shoving it down our crappy brittle dipstick tube.

Default Just a relocation would be easy, a spin on adaptor, 3 90° -10N end fittings, 1 straight -10An

fitting, some NPT to -10AN adaptors and a Canton mecca remote filter, plus some hose. I added an oil cooler, thermostat, and oil pressure transducer at the same time which made it much more complicated.

Do you have a write up on this? I'd be interested in doing that as well

Default i do. but only every other oil change.

i change the oil filter on the next oil change. works fine. i change the oil on my allroad as well...which is why i got the extractor in the first place. believe it or not, it does a pretty decent job.
