Power Loss/Surges: Resolution
I posted a few weeks ago that i was getting power loss/surges at WOT at about 4500 rpm and then regaining power at 5300 rpm. Well I took the car to the dealer and this is what they found out.
Tech found vaccuum hose loose to bypass valve causing engine to loose fuel pressure sporaticly. The ECU logged an overboost DTC which led him to the vaccuum hose.
The car now pulls all the way through like it used to. I also got 20k service, haldex and ended up paying 6.88 per quart for Mobile 1.
FWIW The Audi Store in Dallas is awesome.

Glad your car's okay. Had similar situation, with a different part causing the overboost error.
Starting to seem like if you just look at these cars the wrong way they lose boost. So many things to go wrong that do. Or am I being too harsh?
