problems with passenger side window

problems with passenger side window

after having the pass side window down i hit the driver side switch to make it go up and nothing. passenger side switch nothing either. the window wasnt all the way down and when i hit the down button, that worked, the up botton didnt. when i got out of the car, i could roll windows up and down using the key in both the pass and driver side key holes. passenger side window motor already replaced 6 months ago. any ideas on what this might be? also, my car is out of warrany. does the motor they put in to fix it the first time come with a warranty. just dont want to get stuck paying for a problem thats happened twice. thanks in advance

that motor should be warrantied... but it sounds like something different.

i hate to say this...

'take it to the dealer.'

12 month or 12k miles is parts and labour on a window mechanism

Plus the part costs about $225 if my memory serve me correctly...

BTW I had issues with mine since week 2.
8 motors and lifters later I think its fixed...

so if it hasnt been a) 1 year or b) 12,000 miles on the car since replaced...

then they should replace it for free?

Had similar problem...

the passenger window would go down but not up when activated from the passenger's switch, but would function normally from the driver's switch.

It took four visits to the dealer to have this finally fixed.

So, keep trying until they figure out how to fix it properly!
