Default Prying apart headlights... need advice

Well, the first of the winter mods are just starting. Since I've put the car in the garage for winter, I thought it would be a good time to get cracking on some vanity mods. I've taken the headlight units off to have a go at clearing the turn signals, removing the corners and painting the housings to match the car. The headlight units are sitting on my workbench. My question is this, I've taken off the metal clips holding the lens on, but how exactly do I go about 'prying' the lens off without damaging the unit. I'm running a little scared right now... Shall I just work my way around the unit with a flat bladed screwdriver?

Default Puddy knife and razor blade

Use the razor to slice between the lense and the housing and cut the glue material holding them together. Then use a flexiable puddy knife to pry them apart, ever so slowly. It will take a good 10 mins per light. Just go slow and pry.

Default Hit the headlights with a hairdryer...to soften the glue

And gently...slowlyuse a drywall knife to cut the glue apart...and the slowly pry apart...I have to stress that you take your time prying apart...I would hate to hear you breaking something due to a vanity mod ;-)

Default Screwdriver worked too...then silicone to seal it back up

Do be careful when you're taking out the orange plastic though. the tabs holding that piece in are very fragile.
