Default PSA - ISS and Shuttle Sighting opportunity

Probably should have posted this yesterday but I had no idea how cool it would be until I saw it.

The International Space Station (ISS) and Shuttle are orbiting in tandem 120nm apart. Last night they passed directly overhead of my location and it was quite a sight. There will be another pass tonight but lower on the horizon for me. This is a rare opportunity as the Shuttle will de-orbit Saturday early AM.

Here's the link to the ISS (and Space Shuttle when its docked or near the ISS) flyover at your location anywhere in the world. Select Sighting Opportunities, then the country, state and city closest to you.

Here's a link that will allow you to track the real-time location of the ISS in relation to earth. You can select/deselect options below the picture.

A co-worker managed to capture this time-lapse photo of the event.

Hope you're able to see it, if not keep an eye open for the next ISS sighting in your area. It is extremely bright now due to all the added hardware.

Default Try the applet for the next ISS sighting opportunity

here Put in your zip, hit return then click next sighting.

Default During the day

Low pass but no sighting. You have a 50 deg elevation pass just after midnight SW to NE. Don't know why that doesn't register as a sighting.
