PURE PROTECTION Audi extended warranty
Anyone here have any experience with the PURE PROTECTION Audi extended warranty offered within the past few months?
My 2001 TTQR will be out of warranty in two months and i'd like to keep the car 100,000 miles (it has 35,000 now with very few problems)
How about other companies? any suggestions?
Thanks for the help!

If you're buying a warranty, go with the one offered by your dealer.
Some offer them from Audi, others from 3rd parties. Go with the one your dealer has a relationship with.
That said, the prices were in the range of $3500. I decided it would be cheaper to fix each of the things I was worried about, rather than pay that much up front.
That's over 15% of the value of your car.

Re: If you're buying a warranty, go with the one offered by your dealer.
i've been looking into them.
the Audi warranty has the Audi name but in CA it is a JM&A service contract for other states i think a fildelity warranty service. it is a 7 year 100K ( that's 7 years from your model year = a 2001 model year add 7 years to it for a total of 100k on the meter so if you have 50k on it now you're only covered for another 50K ) for a price of $3200 ( 180hp) -3600 (225hp) price may vary slightly depending on the dealer ( CA).
there are not that many warranty's offered in CA.
you can look up complaints on internet on warranty service providers.
i saw many/ excessive complaints for warranty USA, warranty nation, national warranty, warranty gold, wynns warranty ..
1source auto warranty , warranty direct, 1st automotive service had excellent reports. all are registered with BBB.
i called 3 audi dealers. i spoke to service dept. they have not dealt with the "audi" extended yet but they do sell it. they have dealt with JM&A ( they back other warrantys) and they rate them good along with others ( they are not a stand out). two of the dealers also sell VW's. the extended warranty offered by VW ( again it is back by a 3rd party with VW name on it) they stated was difficult to get work approved.
They did mention some other warranty providers as Good .. check with dealers in your area -speak to service rep/manager to see which warranty's they think are good.
IMO stay away from warranty's that states what it covers. look at the ones that list what they do NOT cover.
for CA i'm serious looking at warranty direct, 1st automotive and maybe 1 source auto warranty.. the 1 source auto warranty looks excellent but they do not show up under CA DMV as Ok to sell in CA. the company states they are suing CA and late last year a judge granted them a "stay" to sell until the case is heard. however that stay may have been lifted recently?
based on my 2001 TTr 180FWD 24,500mi.
the warranty direct for 5 years from when i buy it and total 100K on the TT is $2458 with 0 deductable - covers a little more then the audi 7 from model year/100K at $3200-3600.
1st source auto warranty.. 5 year from purchase/100K 2800 covers little more then warranty direct.
1st automotive 4 year from purchase and 48K miles from purchase $2400
NOTE that most warranty providers will not cover the car if you have custom add on's , mods done to suspensions, over/under size tires, mods to engine, custom exhaust systems .. read the fine print = you have to ask to see policy before you buy.. most offer 60 day refund if you have not used the warranty. also all require you to follow the manufacturer's maintenence/servce intervals.
Yes you can do them yourself and you'll need to keep records/receipts- read fine print.
