I'm trying to plan something pretty big around the car's arrival date. (Proposal) And I am really scared the car will arive too late or too early.

Your input will help decide weather I'm ordering next week or a month or two from now.

I say order ASAP. I tried to get mine in time for my wedding. I ended up taking one from Chicago instead of waiting for THE car. I was wise. THE car showed up 2 days after my wedding.

Get it when you can and hide it from her until the right moment. Pretend that you just got the call and start planning THE activity. Then just go and get it from the hiding place. Maybe you can get it and leave it at the dealership for the time being.

Way too long! And at the end they couldn't get me what I really wanted. I bought into more options.

Ordered: April 26, 2000... Arrival: September 12, 2000 (2 days after my wedding)
