Default Radio code $67????

Is there a cheaper way of obtaining the relevant code for my 2000 TT's radio that's locked in SAFE MODE. The dealer quoted $67. Since I already have to spend $230 on a keyfob/remote lock this is a pain in the but to pay out.

I'm new to the TT crowd (convert from japanese cars)... I was told a lot of things could go wrong on these babies (mine has 100K), but I love the ride so far.

Default BS. No way would I accept that from any dealer.

Mine has given me mine for free at least twice before, and once was not related to the car being in for service.

Default Dealers are crooks (most, not all). They will gank you for whatever service charges they can.

My last dealer experienced involved $350 in "diagnostic" charges, with the (incorrect)recommendation to replace my ECU for $1100.

This forum diagnosed my problem for free, and the part I had to replace cost $110.

So I basically handed the dealer $350 for false information.

Default that's cuz he's paying them to do a service. when you pay dealer, they'll treat u like king. i dont

see any other reason why an audi dealer will give you a rental jsut so you can have a joy ride.
