Maybe send email to sponsors voicing your sentiments, too?

Default That's an excellent idea, John...thanks for the suggestion. I'm being serious, too --

I didn't even think about it until you suggested it.

Gracias!

:-)

Default I personally haven't been too upset by the events here, but I can say . . .

that I wouldn't return to this forum if all I wanted was a technical discussion all of the time. The fact that we have events like TT West, TT East, and many local events & get togethers suggests that many others agree.

But here's the kicker--I've spent thousands of dollars at AudiWorld advertisers. I would never have ordered through EdgeRacing, Stratmosphere, or AWE Tuning without this forum and the enthusiam of my friends here. Really. Take away the friendship, OT element and we have nothing but a boring engineering discussion. No thanks.

If we're supposed to support the advertisers (& Lord knows we do), then we have to WANT to come back here to see what they're selling. I like to come here for more than a discussion of offsets and clearances.

Default I agree with you 100%, John. Hell, I drove all the way up to Bracketfest,

to Asheville, to Las Vegas, and I'm already registered to go to Canandaigua for this year's TT-East.

I am most certainly one of the LEAST technically-minded folks or -oriented folks on this forum. It's nice to have the option of asking technical questions, but I really come here for the camaraderie.

I, too, have spent thousands of $ with our sponsors (e.g., Stratmosphere and APR just for starters). I figure that my O/T money is just as good as anyone else's on-topic money, so why should MY voice / vote count for less than anyone elses just because they like to post about DVs and such?

I hate what's happening to this forum. This was absolutely my favorite place to "visit" on the web. Now it looks as if it's going to be a ghost town because of the complaints of a VERY SMALL minority of folks.

Just my .02...

Default Well said. I too have spent thousands in mods (for the VW) as a result of the atmosphere of this

forum. In fact, in the next month or so I'm looking at 2 new sets of tires. I may not be technical or do the work myself, but I'm a pretty good consumer! See you all at TT East.

Default Prolly a good idea.......

I too, have bought quite a bit of stuff from them as well, not as an individual, but rather a business, reselling and installing. I'm sure this will come up in conversation over the next couple of weeks, and I'd be happy to let them know what's going on.
