Remote Key Replacement question
If I buy a used one from eBay, how do I know if I can reprogram it? Does the FCC ID stamped inside make a difference, or is it the part number, or both, or neither???

if its the same remote (as in looks the same) it should work. For others, you need to check if the
frequencies and central locking are compatible. For example, I used a 2000 A4 switch blade remote on my 1997 A4 and it worked. You will also have to consider IMMO if you want the new key to actually start the car
