Default S4 or TT? FUN TO DRIVE?

I am looking for a FUN TO DRIVE winter car. I drive a Corvette C6 in the summer and get bummed out when I put it away for the snow. I drive a Chevy pickup in the winter, but it just does not "do it for me". I've had German cars in the past - had an A4 1.8T back in the day. I want something that will give me the same satisfaction as the Vette in the winter: performance, looks and fun to drive.

2 Audi experts that are buddies : 1 said TT and the other S4 (assuming late model and my price range of $20-$30K)

What is the biggest bang for the buck for me?

Awesome - thanks - looking forward to hearing from you.

Default I'll sell you mine for your price range! :-P

Biggest bang for your buck is all relative

Need 4 doors or 2?

I thought about getting an S4 after my A4, but went with the TT because I always wanted one, and I don't need to carry more than me and one passenger...and I LOVE this car!

Generally speaking (again, generally) s4's (the B5 turbo models) have far more issues than TT's

Are you talking the 2.7T or the V8 S4?

Default As a current C6 owner and past TT'er....>>

and having driven late model S4's I'll weigh in. With that budget you can buy a pretty fresh TT (or S4 for that matter). IMO the TT is much closer to the C6 you like than a big fast V8 sedan. Don't get me worng, the S4 is a nice machine (with some work to make it work) but the TT is a bit closer to the bone from a fun to drive perspective. I would suggest you go drive both. My vote would be TT but I'm not a sedan type of guy..

Bring her on up north! I do not "need" the 4 doors. I can;t remember the last time I needed to carry more than 2. The number of doors is not a primary consideration. This is what I need: after a 12 hour stressful day, I want something to drive home that I enjoy and makes me feel working my butt off does have it's rewards! I want a BEAST!

Default If you want a beast.....>>

You're gonna need to step the budget up a bit. The RS4 at 420 hp would fill that bill, but no S4 or TT is going to give you that same beastly feel you'll get out of a 400+ hp C6...

With some judicious bolt-ons you can get a TT up to 285-290 hp, but remember...It weighs more than your C6 does, and an S4 at 340hp or so is hundreds of pounds more than that..

Default My friend has a urS4 b5 and I have a 1.8 T TT....

I've driven both, I prefer mine because I like smaller cars more. Granted his hauls *** and mine is just quick, I just like the feel of mine better. I'm sure he would tell you he would much rather have the urS4 however. It's just preference... Like Schwing said, I would try to drive both and see what you think.
