Sattelite Radio
Does anyone have a sattelite radio istalled? If so what kind and how, or pics if you have them. Also will an aftermarkt radio still be able to take advantage of the stock bose setup. Will it be able to use the sub and the cd changer??
Thanks

Sounds like maybe you're happy enough with the bose system to want to keep it (or its components). If so, maybe you'll probably be happy just adding an FM modulated satellite system. That means adding a small controller module up front somewhere so you can see songs, artists, stations displayed and set your satellite presets. Goes through an unused FM station on your existing system.
If not, adding a new head unit may mean losing at least part of the bose component speakers, not a bad idea from what I've heard. I currently drive an S4, and I'm picking up my TT finally this weekend, and one of the first mods I plan to do is take out the bose system I'm being forced to pay extra for (damn you, audi...) I don't believe the OEM changer will work directly with any aftermarket receivers (maybe panasonic? with an adapter?). Most in my experience are manufacturer and sometimes even model specific.
I *absolutely love* my XM system, so much so I've added a second receiver at home. I find that with burned cd-r's (and my Alpine head unit also plays mp3 cd's) and XM, I never miss my changer, which I removed when I changed out of the stock system.
hope that helps your decision process...good luck.
