Default Should I wait until the 2003 TT arrives?

I'm new to this board and was wondering what the consensus is about buying a 2002 225QC vs. waiting until the 2003 model arrives?
Do you know what changes/improvements are expected?
Thanks

Default You'll have one less year of enjoyment. No substantial changes to the 225 platform is being reported

The 180 FWD is going Tiptronic, and that's the only platform it will be.
The 225 will still be the 225hp, no firm plans to up the HP, no matter what you've read here.

For 2003, you will have a few less color choices, if they don't plan to add any by dropping Aviator Gray and Nimbus Gray.

Who knows what will happen to the ALMS. This may be the only year for ALMS.
My dealer has 6 of 'em now, and their lot is full of TT's.

I'd say your best shot to get what you want, in the color you want, is right now.

Default I didn't!

Took delivery about 2weeks ago - - absolutely no regrets - got a very fair discount (MSN - Autobytel) - paid a little les than $40K for a ttr with premium pkg, prem. sound and baseball interior. Go for it!.

Default Don't listen to Jeff...!! =)

Here in Sweden all the car mags and my Audi dealer has reported that the TT will get more hp...! 245hp if I remeber correctly... But I don't know if that's only for Euro spec. cars or if it will happen in the States to...

Default Well exactly my point, you are speculating on two fronts...

That the 255 will indeed get a hp boost,
And you don't know if it will even be avail. in the US.

There have been many rumors here, from the 2.7T VR6, 2.0T etc.
Facts please.
My statement that you will get a years more enjoyment out of the car still stands.

And, to wait for a modest 20 hp gain, possibly in a year, a chip will out-perform that.

Wait a second do you mean that the 180 FWD will ONLY be offered with Tiptronic?? That would suck. Or did you mean that only the 180 hp will offer the Tiptronic? Thanks if you can clarify. Also, where did you get that info from?

Default Word from Dealer in Stuttgart

A friend was picking up a new A4 Cabrio here and I asked the dealer what changes are in store for the TT and he said biggest will be a 3.2L V-6 in about a year or so (Euro spec) with very few other changes....no idea if he's full of it or what....

Which, if you think about it, is probably their answer to the problem of grinding 180 FWD 5-speeds
