Sigh, the hex pattern on my Haldex drain plug stripped while trying to remove it. Any suggestions?

Default Here's what I do when that happens (read this, it WILL work)>>

1 Get yourself a good strong (sacrificial) Torx socket that is slightly larger than the hex.

2 Hammer that ***** into the hex until it's embedded.

3 Using ratchet, unscrew.

4 Throw away fastener and socket

5 install new fastener using proper hex socket
