Default Sigh of relief ( I think). Apologoies to all for my faulty memory!

I just took the TT on a test drive and video taped the boost and RPM gauges. Here's what I found:

I CAN hit 20 in first gear, but it's not peak (usually though, I just drive normally and only go up to about 5-8 in first gear). Peak comes in second AND third gear, though, at about 24 or 25.

And I did determine that, although, I'm not hitting 24 pounds of boost again after that first peak in second, I can get it back up to 22 or 23 in fifth AND sixth gears if I floor it.

Does this sound about right?

I have the video, but it's kind of long and I'm not sure how to host it. I can mail it to someone if they know how and are interested.

Again, thanks to all for motivating me to check this out!

Thanks,
Mark

Default That sounds right. The fun is accelerating in different ways while in 5th gear to find

the best way to get your car to reach peak boost. It's not always just about mashing the pedal to the floor, sometimes a lighter/smoother touch produces more boost.

Oh, and my experiences are with REVO.

Default Exactly... The one that bugs me though is when I'm accellerating hard and hit 3rd and it won't go

over 1 bar of boost. But then I can stop, do it again and almost exactly the same but get the 1.6 peak I was desiring. Can usually tell before I even look at the boost gauge. Of course I haven't logged any runs to see exactly what's going on and I should. Doesn't seem to be heat soak related but who knows what complex things the car's brain is thinking, mine's just thinking GO FASTER!

Default i have a similar issue......

1st 2nd 3rd going through and by the time i hit 4th gear (or thrid sometime) it wouldnt peak at 1.6....it'll be at 1.1....but if i let go and punch it again it'll peak at 1.6 and hold steady.......but ones i get out of 4th (or 3rd) it'll be fine again at 5th and 6th

weird.....
