Got our 10k service yesterday and this morning
there was about a 2.5" wide little puddle of
oil under the car. The car has never leaked oil
before. Just spillage from the oil change that
finally dripped through the engine compartment?
Or
should I jack it up and have a look....

They problably spilled alot when they changed the filter. But I'd check things anyway. It sounds like quite a bit. You can reach down from the top and wipe under the filter, it might be leaking a little. It might be overtightened or they might have forgot to tighten it. The drain plug might be loose. This is a lot harder to check because you'll have to drop the shield. Don't mean to scare you, but I have experienced both cases. Maybe the best bet would be to return to dealer and have them check and clean up. If the filter is loose you can reach down and turn it to the right to tighten ( by hand ). I hope everything is just fine.

Make sure filter is torqued to 15 ft-lbs and plug to 22.
