so i failed inspection with the 42DD test pipe in...
not sure how it failed, but they did a visual inspection. not that i was absolutely sure it was going to pass...but the slightly louder than normal sound was probably the giveaway.
so, for anyone in NJ...most likely, you will not pass with the test pipe...regardless of good readiness codes.

failed because theres no cat.. that is a visual and a mechanical....
not to mention i'm sure they could smell all the toxic fumes.
im pretty sure no state will pass you with out a cat. (unless you know someone)
thats why alot of people here have both test pipe and high flow cat for that exact reason. you can swap it out for inspection.

I used to live in jersey>
the visual inspection for a cat is required... they didnt just 'check' because it sounded louder
hell, i failed for 4 things when I lived there:
-tint front windows
-tint covering rear brake light
-insurance card expired (had insurance, forgot to put new one in car)
-no front plate
Jersey sucks... NO inspections in FL! ;-)
