I used to be a V1 preacher. I saw the 8500 in action. $100 cheaper, and the same performance.

Default The counter and the arrows are worth the extra $100 IMO
AFAIK the V1 is the only one with those two features...please correct me if I'm wrong.

Default I agree...the arrows let you know when you have passed a potential "enemy" and it
also gives you an idea of where to be looking for that "enemy" priceless IMO.

8500 has no arrows, but does show the number of alarms and strength & band of each.

I think I going for the 8500. To many reports of "many false warnings" from the V1.
