Default Sorry, some more dumb questions.......Scored this used charge pipe....

Off ebay, really cheap and it came with this big dent. So I thought, HA HA, it actually should be there, doh.

My question relates to the end toward the turbo. What is the purpose of this?
And does this look normal? Looks a little crusty.
Can the charge pipe be cleaned internally with liquids? Or is there something in the turbo end that could be damaged. It looks like just some sort of screening.

The reason I ask, is because I want to replace mine with this one, so I can modify my original and then put my original modified one back on, with no down time.
Thanks

Default LOL....well, I haven't decided exactly what I might do, I wanted your manifold......

to clean up, maybe have Steve PC, and get the evo heat shield and do the manifold matching, before I install it. The charge pipe will be stripped down, not sure how I will finish it yet, just getting some winter projects lined up. Daily driver, so I can't have any real lengthy down time.

Default Looks OK...>>

The "Dent" is Factory OEM....:-)

The Muffler end is just that....A resonator for sound control. Just clean it up and bolt it on....No issues.

I heard some guy on Vortex filled the "dent" with Bondo, then painted it. Didn't last long!
